"Not two" is an exemplary statement of Zen tradition. In an extreme synthesis it doesn't exclude - whilst avoiding even mentioning them - neither unity, nor multiplicity, but it exhorts us above all to overcome the limits of the dualistic vision of reality: difference is not separation. |
